Meagan&James Engagement Session {Lynchburg, VA-Wedding Photographer}

19 Apr

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for an Engagement Session at The Peaks! Meagan and James were so much fun to photograph… and they are an absolutely stunning couple. I couldn’t be happier with the images from our session! Here are someĀ of my favorites:

Kristin&Cory Bentley Wedding {Lynchburg, VA-Wedding Photographer}

15 Apr

Celebrating the marriage of Kristin and Cory was a great start to Wedding Season. I had such niceĀ time sharing this special day with these two and their friends and family. They are completely in love and they just radiate as a couple! Here are a few images from their wedding!

Kristin Collins Bentley Bridals {Lynchburg, VA-Wedding Photographer}

10 Apr

Yesterday, I had the privilege of shooting Kristin and Cory’s Wedding… which was amazing! This also means I can finally post some pictures of our Bridal Portrait Session at Smith Mountain Lake. Kristin was a stunning bride and I can’t wait to share images from their wedding soon too! Here are a few of my faves!

Amelia&Micah Engagement Session {Lynchburg, VA-Wedding Photographer}

9 Apr

As a photographer, this entire engagement session sends chills of excitement down my back! It is always exciting to incorporate photography props into a session, but it brings about a whole new dimension when the props are actually relevant to the couple. Micah is a pilot and Amelia is a musician with a passion for history and historical reenactments (she has actually participated in reenactments) which is so neat. When Amelia and I sat down to plan and discuss her Engagement Session, we both began visualizing this special session that would incorporate their interests and personalities, and of course, their love and passion for each other. We were very fortunate to have some great people pitch in and help make this session a reality. I would write it all the thank you’s myself; however, Amelia wrote it better herself when she said the following:

“I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved in making Micah & my engagement shoot become reality!Ā Micah LaVanchy for your love & support for my big ideas and crazy dreams and for your passion and pursuit of aviation, I will always support you wholeheartedly, Amy Costa for the use of you & your husbandā€™s WWII outfits and for your patient hand in working with my hair and for being attentive to any other details of the afternoon, youā€™re the best! And thanks to my friend Jessica Bullock for letting me raid her wardrobe for a better selection of heels. Girlfriends with the same shoe size are quite a blessing! And to General Young for the use ofĀ his WWII biplane, it was larger than life and my only other wish is to fly in it. And last but not least…Jane Morice, for capturing my vision and for your wonderful photography skillsā€¦you inspire me, even if you do shoot with Nikon. =) And to an awesome God who provided the most beautiful day & lighting imaginable. I have been dreaming about this shoot even before becoming engaged, so thank you all!!”

These images truly capture Amelia and Micah’s personalities and love for each other. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this fall. I tried to narrow down my very favorites… it was sooo hard… and here they are. Enjoy!

Lauren’s 21 Birthday Photo Session {Lynchburg, VA-lifestyle photographer}

7 Apr

What better way to celebrate turning 21 than spending time with friends and making memories! I had so much fun photographing Lauren and her three friends. They were so sweet and had such fun-loving personalities… not to mention, they are all gorgeous! Here are some of my favorites!

Our baby girl… got ear tubes.

6 Apr

Our sweet baby girl had to get ear tubes yesterday. And of course, I had to document every second that I could. It was really early in the morning (7:30… which is really early for us) and she was hungry and still tired. No eating from 2:00 am the night before surgery until after the surgery because of the anesthesia.Ā When we handed her off to the nurse, she started screaming… and apparently didn’t stop Ā screaming until they knocked her out. The doctor informed us we have an “angry” little baby… I totally disagree. She isn’t angry, she just has a hot temper and doesn’t like strangers! Thankfully, everything went perfect and we hope for no more darn persistent ear infections! And, another positive, she slept through the night last night, all night… she hasn’t done that for over 10 months! Here is our brave little 15 month old, Bradley Kate.

miss abigail and big brother gabe {Lynchburg, VA-newborn and family photographer}

6 Apr

I am so excited to share this session. I had the privilege of photographing the Morris family during Katrina’s pregnancy, so I was THRILLED when I received the call that Abigail had arrived and they were ready to set up a newborn session. Only ten days old and absolutely beautiful beyond words! Her big brother, Gabe, was so proud to hold her and was so sweet to Abigail during the entire session. I loved every minute of this session and the pictures turned even better than I could have asked for. I was trying to narrow down my very favorites… but I still have quite a few to share! Enjoy!

Shelton Family Session {Lynchburg, VA-family photographer}

4 Apr

This was a special session… not only because I got to see Courtney (one of my previous students) and her two awesome siblings, but because these three are surprising their mom with pictures for Mother’s Day. How Sweet!!! I know their mom will be thrilled when she receives these! Here are a few of my favorites!

Franklin Family {Lynchburg, VA-Family Photographper}

30 Mar

We had beautiful weather and a beautiful family… we couldn’t ask for more! We captured some amazing family pictures and these babies were so good during our session! Caleb (baby boy) was so goodĀ for usĀ throughout the entire session, and Olivia (big sis) kept the party alive, she’s so sweet and filled with tons of personality. Here are a few of my favorites:

A few from our previous newborn session.
