A hodgepodge of the last week…

1 Dec

Thanksgiving has come and gone… but what a wonderful day we had! It started with our breakfast tradition at my mom and dad’s house with my mom’s amazing Oyster Stew, accompanied by bacon, biscuits with apple butter, eggs, and hot chocolate or coffee. After breakfast, all fifteen of us made our way to the backyard for some family pictures, which was a success. After our big breakfast and all the pictures, we all needed a little rest… so we all departed for a few hours in order to get  ready for our big Thanksgiving Turkey dinner. After we ate our dinner, some of us decided to go to Toys R Us for the Black Friday Sale that started at 10:00 p.m. We ended up staying out until about 1:30 a.m. and got some incredible savings on Christmas/Birthday presents for Bradley and all our kiddos! Friday, we decided to go pick out our tree and decorate. This is Bradley’s first Christmas, and it has been so much fun seeing her interest in the tree, the ornaments, the wrapped presents, she’s so curious! This past week she also found a cup of hot chocolate on the floor (left by big cousin Lilly) and got her first taste of “heaven.” She was being so quiet that I realized something must be going on… and there she was sitting with her face in the mug, practically taking a bath in it!
